Interesting. As I was scrolling down this morning, I thought of Double Indemnity and Mad Men. Your Mad Men selection is good but there are other Mad Men scenes where the elevator is crowded and not a word is spoken. The silence and wayward stares suggest a level of anomie that reflects the noir brand to a T.
