You've got to go through two doors to get into the bar. An outer door, down a short hall, then through an inner door. It's built that way so no sunlight leaks into the place. Sunshine never gets into the Regent. No windows, no skylights, nothing. High noon on the Fourth of July and the joint is as black as a mine. That way you can drain your lunch without feeling that you're a midday alky. Not that any of the people in the Regent are the type of people who'd let a little thing like sunshine or time of day slow them down. Booze just tastes better in the dark.
