Great? I don't know about that. More like watching a fifty car pile up from a ringside seat. You want to avert your gaze but human curiosity keeps you glued to the spectacle. I watched it ten years ago and still remember almost every scene. Amazing how a film ostensibly about a 1930's dance a thon morphs into an expose of the darker side of human nature and greed. Looking back, it reminds me of a prolonged Twilight Zone episode. I think Gig Young won an Oscar for his role as the MC and deservedly so. Every time I hear the words :YOWZER, YOWZER, YOWZER, it sends a chill up my spine. And by the way, welcome back!
