Below it's Lush Exterior

In my opinion film noir confronted audiences with realistic human emotions, and forced America to see that below it's lush exterior there was a world that showed the darker side of America's ideals, a world that had been torn apart by war and greed ............

Shot most of the film with a wide-angle lens that distorted the buildings and emphasised the wet cobblestone streets. But the angle of vision was just to suggest that something crooked was going on.

Laughing Long Enough

Every so often, the gods stop laughing long enough to do something horrible. There are few facts that are not horrible. The bitter, insufficient truth is that God's recovered but fun is dead.

And you'll find her somehow you swear
Somewhere tonight you run sad and free
Until all you can see is the night
