Good selection. Not to go off topic, but i recall Shirley Maclaine playing an elevator operator in The Apartment. That movie was billed as a comedy but I always thought it was borderline noir. Jack Lemmon played a patsy who was used by his Mad Men era bosses to have sex with women in his apartment. Funny but sort of tragic as Lemmon was a lonely man trapped by his surroundings. Just a thought. And speaking of Mad Men, another borderline noir, many elevator scenes there too.
ReplyDeleteGood suggests ...... Many borderline/Film Gris come up often as they appeal to Noir fans like us.
