Who likes the taste of being hurt. That makes you lower than the mice and the roaches. At least they try to save their skins, they get a normal outlook. But you, you're just a clown that ain't funny. And that's a sad picture, that's the saddest picture of all. Like on the outside it's the stupid crazy smile and inside it's a gloomy place where all they play is the blues.

Wild Wives

The rain hit hard at my window. It slowed down to whisper, then hit hard again. All afternoon the rain had been doing this while i sat behind my desk with my feet up, doing nothing. I looked around the ratty little office and wondered vaguely what time it was.
