Often overlooked as a classic Neo Noir perhaps for its fairly well known status amongst mainsteam cinema fans. From the opening credit sequence by Saul Bass to great individual performances by Stone, Pesci and De Niro it's an example of Organized crime Noir set against a bleak desert backdrop and featuring Scorsese's usual excellent soundtrack.
