Without a Word

As an adult, i have never said goodbye. I have left wives and lovers, naturally, but i have always disappeared without a word. I am one of those men who leaves the house, ostensibly, to get a package of cigarettes, and is never heard from again. That way, it is easier on both parties. As long as a man leaves everything behind, including his money, possessions and clothes, he will have no regrets when he begins a new life somewhere else.
