Who Killed Davey Moore ?

'Not us' says the angry crowd
Whose screams filled the arena loud
'It's too bad he died that night
But we just like to see a fight
We didn't mean for him t'meet his death
We just meant to see some sweat
There ain't nothing wrong in that

From Which he Came

Bugs would eat the wax, chaw the old canvas. And one day there would be a mutation, and we will have new ones that can digest concrete, dissolve steel and suck up the acid puddles, fatten on magic plastics, lick their slow way through glass. Then the cities will tumble and man will be chased back into the sea from which he came ........

The Sucker Instinct

It was dark there, there wasn't anyone on the street - i could have walked away. I started to walk away and then the sucker instinct got the best of me .........

All But Invisible

He existed a step or two to one side of the common world, largely out of sight, a shadow, all but invisible. Whatever he owned, either he could hoist it on his back and lug it along or he could walk away from it. Anonymity was what he loved most about the city. Being a part of it and apart at the same time.

An Occasional Drinker

I'm an occasional drinker. The kind of guy who goes out for a beer and wakes up in Singapore with a full beard.

                         A re-appraisal of Wilder's Noir masterpiece.

If You Need a Fool

They're just not making fools the way that they used to
They don't come back for more the way that i always do
So if you ever change your mind
I'm not very hard to find
You can find me in the phone book under 'Blue'
Call me if you need a fool
