Jive Noir - Easy Rawlins

That night i went to the Cosy Room on Slauson. It was a small shack with walls that were held together by tar paper, chicken wire and nails. It stood in the middle of a big vacant lot, lop-sided and ungainly. The only indication you got that it was inhabited was the raw pine plank over the door .It had the word 'Entrance' painted on it in dripping black letters.
