College Shadows

The cold atmosphere of Losey's Oxford story is an experiment in British Noir using the old class system to portray family/friend betrayals.

  1. Love your site.

I have just written and self-published through Createspace a monograph on five neglected noir directors: Ida Lupino, Hugo Haas, Edgar Ulmer, Gerd Oswald, and Reginald LeBorg. It is called Directors on the edge: Outliers in Hollywood. It is available on Amazon. I have written with Alain Silver numerous books on film noir as well as done over 20 DVD commentaries.
    Thanks
