Beauty of Retro Noir

          Last post showed Godfather II looking paticularly good in De Niro's retro areas of the movie. Everyone's familiar with Chinatown's retro visual appeal but both these movies are at least equalled by Bertolucci's The Conformist.

Corleone Noir

           Is Godfather Part II one of the great modern noirs set against the background of Organised crime or just a great gangster movie.
